Much of my work has been focused on explaining ideas or concepts, or creating stories around products. Sometimes this might be to encourage a change in perception, or simply give some useful information, but often enough the lurking motive is to sell.
I’ve worked a great deal in the financial sector. For Commerzbank I wrote all the initial promotional material for its consumer- focused online trading operation, alongside a complete help system for using its site and tools. I’ve written direct mail (print and digital) for insurance giant Aon, and recruitment and other corporate material for insurance broker giant Marsh. I’ve also online recruitment text for London accountancy firm Rhodes Robson and complete sites for Brighton accountants The Fifth Element, and London estate agency Madley. I’ve researched and produced sector briefings for PwC and specialist management consultancy OC&C Strategy.
In my work I’ve written extensive product material for BT, mostly in the B2B area, (including specialist products for the finance sector). I’ve written many complete websites, for brand agencies Rufus Leonard and Howoco, for specialist healthcare consultancy Translucency, for National Grid’s CSR practices, and complete marketing materials in digital and print for the high end care home company Colton Care. I’ve written everything from above-the-line ads to corporate print for for the Diamond Trading Company, Todd & Duncan cashmere yarn, Tabasco, the WIne & Spirit Association, Lichfield Gin and Laurent Perrier champagne.
